Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) 8-Week In-Person Group Program
An 8-week program that combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance emotional wellbeing.
In this program, you will learn how to be with difficult emotions and moments in your life with kindness, care and understanding and develop resources to safeguard your own well-being when navigating relationships and life’s challenges.
When: Thursdays, 6:00PM – 9:00PM Beginning October 20, 2026. Includes a half-day silent retreat, Saturday, November 28.
Location: Breathe Mindfulness Center - 24 Harbourside Dr #107, Wolfville, NS B4P 1C9
Co-facilitated by: Jacqueline Milner, Registered Psychologist/Advanced Certified Mindfulness and MSC Teacher and Cheryl Oxford, Registered Psychologist/MSC Teacher Trainee of Deep Dive Trauma and Recovery.
In this 8-Week program participants will learn:
mindfulness and self-compassion practice for everyday life
how to stop being so hard on yourself
how to motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism
how to handle difficult emotions with greater ease
how to transform difficult/challenging relationships, old and new
how to manage caregiver fatigue
the theory and empirically supported benefits of self-compassion
No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is necessary to attend MSC. This program is designed for anyone who wishes to integrate and cultivate greater self-compassion into their lives and/or work.
This program is also for professionals who wish to begin integrating mindful self-compassion core skills and principles into their work or as the first step in pursuing further teacher training in MSC as this group fulfills the prerequisite for becoming an MSC teacher. Meditation experience is not required.
Fee: $775 (HST and digital materials included)*
