  • An 8‑week therapeutic group for adult children of CAF members and veterans to explore their stories, learn healthier patterns, and connect with others in a supportive, trauma‑informed environment.

  • When: Mondays 6:30-8:30pm Beginning September 28th - November 23rd (break on Thanksgiving Monday).

  • Location: MFS Annex Building, Greenwood NS, B0P 1N0.

  • Facilitated by:Cheryl Oxford, Registered Psychologist & supported by Kelly McLean, RSW.Eligible

  • Participants: Adult children (ages 25-45) of Active Military Members or Veterans of the CAF.

  • In this 8-Week program participants will:

    • Learn about dysfunctional family patterns and receive adaptive coping skills

    • Increase the likelihood of breaking unhealthy patterns in personal family systems

    • Increase sense of community & social engagementDecrease feelings of isolation & alienation

    • Hear diverse perspectives

    • Practice self-care (yoga)

    • Experience a safe, non-judgmental place to be heard and validated

  • Fee: $0 - No cost for participants.

  • Provided Resources: Drama Free – A guide to managing unhealthy family relationships by Nedra Glover Tawwab, Program Workbook, Yoga mats and props, & light nutrition.

  • This group requires a minimum participant threshold to foster a supportive and engaging dynamic. Enrolment is limited. Pre-registration is required.
